This document specifies the design and use requirements, test methods and classification scales for the environmental impacts of domestic swimming pools operation. This document applies to outdoor swimming pools as defined in EN 16582-1 and must be read in conjunction with this standard. This document establishes an environmental assessment of the operation of each equipment and also of the domestic pools as a whole. Note 1 to entry: Only the operational phase of the basin is covered by this document. All other stages of the product life cycle, such as resource extraction, raw material acquisition, production, distribution, or end-of-life treatment, including final disposal, are not covered by this document. This standard will not be applicable to: - Domestic spa and hot tubs covered by EN 17125 - Public spas and hot tubs - Mini-pools covered by EN 16927 - Paddling pools covered by EN 71-1 et EN 71-8 - Public swimming pools defined in EN 15288-1
