Cranes - Information for use and testing - Part 1: Instructions

This part of EN 12644 specifies requirements for the presentation and content of instruction handbook(s) supplied by the manufacturer for the use of cranes. This crane standard has been written to be used in conjunction with other crane standards being prepared by CEN/TC 147. NOTE Specific requirements for particular types of crane, are given in the appropriate European Standard for the particular crane type. The hazards covered by this standard are identified in clause 4. This part of EN 12644 applies to cranes which are manufactured after the date of approval by CEN of this standard. This standard does not cover hazards related to the lifting of persons.
